As I look at the two posted pictures from yesterday, I am overcome with emotion and awe and a sense of pride I don’t think I’ve ever felt before. I can’t begin to find words to express the magnitude of the experience.
I left Lydene’s yesterday giddy and walking about a foot off the ground. As I was sitting in a drive-thru, I started to cry …. Silly I know, but I did. I’ve not ever looked like how I feel on the inside and yesterday I did, I felt like the pretty girl, I felt like the confidence on the inside was now on the outside of myself. Hard to explain, but I wanted you all to know the impact of yesterday and to say thank you! So, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!

I had never heard of boudoir until an acquaintance of mine posted some sexy photos of herself on her Facebook. After that, my good friend got them done and I was able to take a peak at them. Her photos were tasteful and sexy which increased my already growing curiosity. I got the name of the photographer and ended up stalking her page to see what all this ‘boudoir’ talk was about. After perusing her page I was left astonished. The pictures were playful, classy and absolutely sexy. There was absolutely not one photo that was raunchy or distasteful. I was sold after looking at her page. Lydene and I ended up chatting a few times while I was getting info and prices and I later decided to participate in her October marathon shoot at The Nines Hotel in Portland. I decided to do this as a surprise Christmas gift for my husband. Over the past 7 years he’s asked that I wear lingerie, but I usually never end up doing it. I’d rather be comfy in my sweats and a large over shirt. Surprising him with a book of my boudoir photos would be the last thing he’d ever expect to receive from me, which is why it was a brilliant idea!
The day of the shoot I was so nervous. I ended up having my good friend and fellow ‘boudoir grad’ accompany me. We got there and I immediately clicked with Lydene and her make up artist Heidi. Because of that, I became more and more comfortable. I especially liked that Lydene provided champagne and snacks as well. As nervous and self conscious I was, the minute my make up & hair was done and I put on my first outfit I fell into character. My nervousness and self consciousness were immediately gone. I felt like a celebrity with my glam squad and photographer. The feeling of ‘sexy’ was something I had never felt before, but once I felt it, it was an immediately wonderful and empowering experience. This rush of confidence and sexiness took over and I rocked the session. After that I left feeling all sorts of positive, wonderful things! I could not wait to see my pictures.
I ended up getting my pictures back within a week and a half and was absolutely astonished!! It was the same astonished feeling I had when I first looked at Lydene’s page but it was upped to the next level seeing me in those pictures! I looked classy, sexy and beautiful…..and most importantly I FELT classy, sexy and beautiful! I selected the photos I wanted for my husband’s book and gave him the book for Christmas, although I couldn’t wait until Christmas. When he opened it he was grinning from ear to ear! He couldn’t believe I did something like this and was absolutely astonished by the pictures! He was so shocked because I never wear lingerie.
Needless to say he was absolutely in love with the pictures. I recommend this type of experience to all the women out there! It was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had and it was so nice to feel confident, classy and sexy. It was an absolutely empowering experience for me and I’m so grateful I decided to do it. Lydene is the most gifted & talented photographer I’ve ever met. Her work is classic, tasteful, elegant and sexy. She makes you feel so comfortable no matter what shape or size you are. She has a wonderful, beyond explainable gift and sheer talent. She is the only photographer I will ever recommend. She helped bring out a sense of sexiness and confidence I didn’t even know I had and for that I’m truly, truly grateful to her.

I just recently did a boudoir session with Lydene at The Nines Hotel in Portland, OR. I am a mother of three with some motherly imperfections. To say it best, I don’t have a model perfect body. I was a bundle of nerves with shaking hands & knocking knees. More than once I thought to myself; what am I doing? During the hair & make up session with Catherine, the three of us girls talked & laughed and before I knew it we were striking poses and snapping photos. Lydene really made all of my worries float right out the window. It might sound silly but in a small way, this experience was a huge confidence booster. I had planed to give the photos to my soon to be hubby for a wedding gift but when I got to see the finished photos I decided I couldn’t wait! They turned out awesome, I couldn’t be happier with them. I am so happy with them that I plan on booking another session with her before the wedding in August . Lydene is an amazing photographer with an amazing eye for all things beautiful!

My session with Lydene couldn’t have been more fun. I was a little anxious about it because I didn’t know what to expect, but Lydene made me feel completely at ease from start to finish. She even provided great snacks, and I was able to bring my iPod and listen to some of my favorite tunes. Her ideas for poses, props, and lighting were fantastic and it showed in the quality of the finished product. I would highly recommend a session with Lydene to make any woman feel beautiful.

For the longest time I had wanted to have some Boudoir photos taken but was always self conscious about my body and thought that there was NO WAY I could look half as good as the girls in the pictures Lydene was taking. After a lot of persuasion from friends I agreed to do a photo party with friends and we had so much fun! Catherine did my hair and make-up (she’s amazing!) and Lydene was completely professional and made me very comfortable… to top it all off the pictures came out FANTASTIC and I had a hard time choosing.
